Due to how competitive the smartphone market is, even a feature like a fingerprint sensor can be a deal-breaker for some people. For Samsung, it was a major sucker punch when the Galaxy S10 series, which became one of the first devices to feature an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, wasn't all that secured.

Based on a report by 9to5mac.com, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that Apple could be planning to release an iPhone that features both Face ID as well as an in-display Touch ID functionality in the year 2021. It is best to note that Apple had ditched the Touch ID functionality on the iPhone X and subsequent iPhones that came after it.
