    With the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge launch date all but finalized for 2 April 2015,MaxisCelcom and DiGi have come out with teasers for these devices. For Maxis, asides from a teaser image they also announced that the 1st 1000 buyers will get a free wireless charger and screen protector worth RM280 along with the chance to buy the Emerald Green coloured version. Stocks of this colour are limited and it certainly makes the Galaxy S6 Edge look more striking. Celcom and DiGi have been less specific about what is coming with their plans or bundles and have just come out with a teaser image each saying that the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are coming soon.

    While most of the smartphone consumers in Malaysia are anxiously awaiting the upcoming announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in Malaysia this 2 April 2015, Samsung Malaysia would like all it's enterprise users to know that these two devices also offer some of the best enterprise-level security features as well. While this is partly due to the software and hardware architecture built-into the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge (like the fingerprint sensor), most of this enterprise-level security is provided for by the Samsung KNOX end-to-end mobile security platform which has also been integrated with both devices. Secure enough for government use the Samsung KNOX platform offers real-time protection all the time including malware monitoring and OS-level protection. In addition the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge offer the latest 64-bit 14nm fabricated processors with improved battery life, faster charging and built-in wireless charging for both PMA and WPC standards. Both devices also come with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for better scratch resistance. The latest Samsung KNOX release is KNOX 2.4 with new features that includes integration with Samsung wearable devices, enterprise billing and Enterprise ID integration for wearable device login. The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are expected to be announced for Malaysia with Samsung KNOX built in on 2 April 2015.

    Samsung Electronics Malaysia recently sent out invites for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge for 2 April 2015. Featuring a new glass and metal body, the Galaxy S6 features tech specs that include a 64-bit 2.1GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB / 64GB / 128GB storage, 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution (577 ppi), a 16MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and smart OIS, 5MP front camera and 2550 mAh battery. The Galaxy S6 Edge on the other hand is the only smartphone in the world with a dual-edge bended display. Tech specs are equally high-end with a  64-bit 1.8GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB/128GB storage, a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 2K resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4, a 16MP f/1.9 aperture rear camera and 5MP front camera. Neither offers IPx7 water proofing, but both look simply stunning. No Malaysia pricing details yet, but the Galaxy S6 is expected to cost around $650 (RM2359) while the Galaxy S6 Edge cost $750 (RM2722) or so. Check out all the videos so far in this article.

    Finally, the YOUM flexible smartphone with dual-edge bended display makes an appearance with the official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Featuring a metal frame with a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 backside, the Galaxy S6 Edge looks something awesome. However, while it does sport an edge to edge, dual-edge design, neither of said side touchscreens are as functional as the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. True, you can get a clock but that's about it. Other tech specs include a 64-bit 1.8GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB/128GB storage, a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 2K resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4, a 16MP f/1.9 aperture rear camera and 5MP front camera. Granted, the Galaxy S6 Edge does not offer IPx7 water proofing or an external microSD slot but like the Galaxy S6, the Galaxy S6 Edge also has a much streamlined TouchWiz interface. Despite being slower than the Galaxy S6, the Galaxy S6 Edge is expected to cost $750 (RM2722) or so and comes with a single-touch fingerprint scanner. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details but it could come with the Galaxy S6 in April 2015.

    Rumours: Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge GeekBench reveals true power of Exynos 5420?

    Rumours about the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge have been making the rounds on the Internet for quite some time now. The latest leak indicates that the upcoming flagship device will be the most powerful handset that will be available in the market for quite some time. A recent entry on GeekBench shows that the S6 Edge with the model number SM-925 scores more than any other smartphone in the multi-core test. The device scored an impressive 5077 points in the test, which is much higher than the current leader, the Apple iPad Air 2 with 4532 points. Clearly, the octa-core Exynos 7420 chip is much better than any other SoCs that we have seen to date. Even in the single-core test, the device managed to score 1492 points. Only the Apple iPhone 6 PlusiPhone 6 and the powerful NVIDIA Tegra K1 poweredNexus 9 scores better than the Exynos 7420 powered Galaxy S6 Edge in this test. The Samsung flagship was also spotted on AnTuTu recently where it scored over 60000 points, much better than any other phone in the market. With latest rumors indicating that Samsung may redesign its laggy TouchWiz UI, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge flagship may turn out to be a great device.
