The new ASUS Fonepad 8 FE380CG is one of ASUS new wave of 64-bit Intel Atom processor powered Android tablets. While it may seem too little too late, Celcom are offering the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite from RM138 on their Celcom First Data plan. While the tablet retails at RM699, the bundles are fairly affordable and you have a choice of 12 month or 24 month contracts. We'd never think to pair a Vespa with a tablet, but Samsung are thinking out of the box for their new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite tablet with their "Samsung Unlock Joy and Win" contest. Well, after reporting about the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids tablet that came out in South Korean brochures, Samsung have seen fit to officially announce the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids tablet. Coloured pastel yellow and coming with an orange casing for easier grip (and hopefully some shock proofing) the tablet is aimed at children as it comes preloaded with educational games, apps and e-book readers. Hopefully they aren't all demos but in terms of tech specs the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids offers:

Recently spotted in a South Korean back-to-school brochure was the pastel-coloured kid-friendly Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids. From all appearances, features and listed tech specs the Tab 3 Kids is targeted at children of school going (probably 6 years and above) age. Tech specs for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids includes a 1.2GHz dual-core process, 8.5-inch screen with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, 1GB worth of RAM, 8GB storage and support for WiFi Bluetooth 3.0, microSD and a 4000 mAh battery. We have no idea if it's just a rebadged Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 but from pictures it looks like it will come with a shock proof or better grip plastic casing. So far, no Malaysia release dates just yet as it may very well likely be a Korea-only release. If it somehow manages to come over to Malaysia and the price is just right, would you buy it for your kids?

While we wait for Samsung to make their big reveal on 20 June 2013 the company has since announced 2 new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 versions. Samsung continues their barrage of devices for every size and use, but this time we may have leaked tech specs for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 and the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3. The tech specs for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 include:

Those waiting for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 could start saving for the tablet a little earlier as the price seems to have been accidentally revealed already. Listed recently by Adorama, a New York retailer, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 was listed as $199 (RM600). Other specs available during the listing include the fact that it was a white device, had 8GB of internal storage, a 7-inch 1024 x 600 display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. It also had a 3 MP rear camera with a 1.3MP front camera along with a 4000mAh battery. This listing has since been taken down so we can't give you a reference link, however, there is no reason that the price may change. However, don't expect a direct currency conversion as even the $199 priced Google Nexus 7 tablet got priced around RM1000 when it came here in Malaysia.

AnTuTu is a benchmark app that posts the scores of various smartphones, tablets and similar devices online. So when a mystery Samsung device posts with the model number GT-P5200 gets AnTuTu scores of 24616, scores which are on the same level as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 based Samsung Galaxy S4, you can bet that we'll take notice. Now, bear in mind that this is a recent happening and that Samsung just don't use the GT-PXXXX naming convention anymore means several things.
