Tablets don’t often get very high-end tech specs or features, despite the fact that they are rapidly edging out the laptop or desktop as most users choice of media playback device. They usually don’t pack in renowned audio technologies, don’t have the latest processors or the most RAM and usually are made of plastic. The tablets that do use more premium materials like metal are often so expensive that they cost more than most laptops. Thankfully, this is no longer the case with the Huawei MediaPad M3. Two names that are unlikely muttered in the same breath has joined forces to build one of the more secure tablet in the world. This tablet has passed inspection and will be used by government officials in Germany. The tablet is called the SecuTablet, by Samsung and Blackberry.

Rumours about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 have increased from just how thin it could be to full-on tech specs. Revealed via benchmark, the 9.7-inch display successor to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will likely offer a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution and a 4:3 aspect ratio, much like the Apple iPad tablets. Other notable tech specs include a 1.9GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB storage, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and Android 5.0.2. Unconfirmed rumours indicate that the new Galaxy Tab S2 will have a 5.4mm thin metal body but just weigh in at 407g. No Malaysia release dates and pricing details yet but as usual of such rumours, do take it with a pinch of salt. We expect it to appear sometime during MWC 2015 which is just next week.

Samsung is reportedly working on a new device to directly take onApple's iPad Air 2 most likely called the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. The South Korean giant's upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is reportedly thinner than the iPad Air 2's 6.1mm slim profile. The company is also said to be moving towards a design and product sizing similar to the ones from Apple. Instead of the usual 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch models, the company may release 8-inch and 9.7-inch sized tablets this year to compete with Apple's iPad lineup. Also, like Apple iPad tablets, this particular device could come with a 4:3 aspect ratio. To make the device even more premium, Samsung will use a metal frame on the Galaxy Tab S2. The source has not revealed any Malaysia release date, availability or pricing of the upcoming device. However, don't expect it to be showcased as soon as MWC 2015, where the powerful Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge flagships are expected to be unveiled with much fanfare.
