Samsung has been collaborating with Barnes & Noble to create Nook tablets with the result being the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook range of tablets. The first Galaxy Tab 4 Nook tablet feature Barnes & Noble Nook software for easy access to the publisher's extensive library of books, magazines and publications. So far, it doesn't seem like there are any changes to the overall design of the tablet apart from the feature Nook software, nor are there any extra tech specs either. The first 7-inch display version is expected to arrive for the US market in August 2014. As such, we expect the pricing to be about RM999 which is how much the original Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is priced at here in Malaysia. No news on Malaysia release dates or local pricing but we'll keep you posted as to any new developments.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablets have recently been leaked by serial leaker @evleaks. The images look official and show off the new sized tablets nicely. While there aren't any tech specs or features available, the tablets look very thin and sleek while also adopting the same perforated backside, fingerprint scanner and ultra-power saving mode as the Samsung Galaxy S5. There are also 2 round mounts on the backside which we think is for an automatic or interactive flip cover or stand later on. No news on Malaysia release dates or pricing yet, but we should find out soon so stay tuned.

Samsung Mobile has just tweeted an image for their upcoming Samsung Galaxy Premier 2014 with the title "Tab into Color". This hints at a new Galaxy Tab coming soon and with the Galaxy Tab 4 range already well and announced, we're thinking it could be the premium Samsung Galaxy Tab S recently rumoured to appear. Estimated tech specs for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S include an 8.4-inch display version and a 10.5-inch display version with both displays being AMOLED type screens offering 2K or 2560 x 1600 pixel resolutions. This could point to the hint which says "Tab into Color" as AMOLED screens do tend to have more vibrant colours. Other features that could appear include a built-in fingerprint scanner, Samsung Exynos 5420 processor, hexa-core Mali T628 graphics, 3GB LPDDR3e RAM, 8MP rear camera and 2.1MP front camera. Many are also thinking that other devices could also be showcased as well but it feels a little too early for the Galaxy Note 4 still. Stay tuned for more developments.

Samsung Malaysia recently released their latest Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 and Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 tablets for the Malaysian market. According to Samsung, the new Galaxy Tab 4 tablets are slimmer and thinner with textured back covers for a more premium look and feel. Both are available in black and white and come with Android 4.4 KitKat, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 will be priced for RM999 the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 will be priced at RM1499. Both tablets will be available from 19 May 2014 but for now, you can check out the tech specs of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 tablets below:

We'd never think to pair a Vespa with a tablet, but Samsung are thinking out of the box for their new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite tablet with their "Samsung Unlock Joy and Win" contest. The contest gives Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite buyers the chance to win a Vespa LX150 scooter, with the contest starting from 8 May 2014 until 30 June 2014. Rumours indicate that we could soon get to see a new line of premium Galaxy Tab tablets from Samsung called the Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Coming courtesy of SamMobile, the rumours seem to be credible but do take it with a good pinch of salt as they have missed sometimes as well. According to them, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S will come out first with two models, one with an 8.4-inch display and another with a 10.5-inch display. Both displays will be AMOLED and offer 2K or 2560 x 1600 pixel resolutions. Other notable tech specs and features include fingerprint sensors embedded in the home button like the Samsung Galaxy S5 complete with Fingerprint unlock and other related features.

A fairly interesting Samsung device has appeared on China's Tenaa in the form of the SM-T2558. At first glance, it looks like a really large phablet, but it actually has a 7-inch screen. Weighing in at 245g and measuring 191.24 x 99.7 x 8.95mm, the device also has a camera with LED flash and looks to be able to make voice calls. Tech specs and features on the SM-T2558 include a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, microSD support, a 7-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and Android 4.3. It will also support TD-LTE and TD-SCDMA connectivity, so it can go mobile if you need it to. In terms of design, it doesn't look like standard Samsung tablets as it has narrower bezels but it could be a smartphone tablet or tablet with phone capabilities like the ASUS FonePad 7. No news on pricing or Malaysia release dates but we're certain that quite a few people would be interested in it here in Malaysia.

Confirming their new Samsung Galaxy Tab refresh is the recent announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 range of tablets. This includes the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. The overall design has not changed, except perhaps for a slightly more rounded look. The more notable changes are internal with tech specs that include:

The ASUS FonePad 7 is generally known better for it's budget price than for it's performance but the 2014 edition promises to not only fix issues in the previous version but make it even better. While it hasn't been announced officially just yet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite or SMT-T110 has been officially confirmed by it's own manual. The user manual appeared on the Samsung Polish website with details about the SM-T110 which is the WiFi-only version of the Tab 3 Lite. The site also revealed prices with the WiFi-only version going for $165 (RM541) and the 3G version going for $263 (RM863). Tech specs and features for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite were confirmed with a 1.2GHz dual-core Marvell PXA986 processor, Vivante GC1000 graphics, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 7-inch display with 600 x 1024 pixel resolution, microSD card support, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and a 3600 mAh battery. The user manual doesn't give enough image details to know if the design will be much different from before but at 192 x 177 x 9.7mm and 310g it is a bit larger and heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0. No Malaysia release date just yet but with the user manual already here the tablet should be available soon.
