Samsung Pay has been in Malaysia for a few years already. Today, Samsung Malaysia is excited to announce that this service has expanded beyond in-store payments in Malaysia, now supporting online transactions across a wide range of e-commerce merchants.

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) has announced that its ticket purchasing system will go fully cashless starting 1 January 2025. These include Klang Valley, northern, southern and east coast sectors.

Previously, we reported that the open payment system is now operational at KTM Komuter stations, with payments via MyDebit incurring an RM30 temporary pre-authorisation. Now, KTMB has announced further details on its plans to improve the system, including support for Apple Pay and Samsung Pay.

Ads are everywhere nowadays, even in the stock apps that come pre-installed on our smartphones. Probably received too many customer complaints, Korean tech giant Samsung has decided to remove the ads from its stock apps, including Samsung Music, Samsung Pay, and Samsung Weather.

In another new Samsung Rewards promotion, Samsung Malaysia have just announced that Samsung Pay app users can now redeem RM40 OFF e-vouchers on PUMA Online Store. The promotion has already begun and will last for a limited time until 31 August 2020.

Not long ago, Samsung has announced that they will collaborate with personal finance company SoFi to launch a debit card that is tied in with Samsung Pay. The debit card will allow users to manage their finance through the app that is already popular among Samsung devices' users. Today, it has been revealed that the answer to Apple Card (Apple's debit card) will be called Samsung Money, and it will be launching soon later this summer.
