It was reported that many smartphone manufacturers are releasing their own folding smartphones this year including OPPO, Xiaomi, and even Google. Now, we have received an update claiming that there's finally progress as Samsung Display is reportedly developing the folding displays for the mentioned companies.

Samsung Display is going all out with its foldable displays this year by producing 11 million of them. According to the source, the display manufacturer will also supply some of the foldable panels to Chinese smartphone companies. From what we see, 2021 is going to be the turning point for the foldable smartphone market.

Display technology has been advancing a lot and it's cool to see companies like Samsung adopt the use of foldable displays. But another unique form factor is on the way and Samsung is aiming to release an actual product featuring it. Specifically, sources claim that Samsung is developing a device that will have a rollable display.
