In another update, Shell Malaysia has rolled out a major upgrade to the Shell App with the full integration of BUDI95, allowing eligible Malaysians to access their fuel subsidy directly through their smartphones. The move marks a key step in Shell’s wider digital transformation to streamline fuelling and improve customer convenience.

As we reported yesterday, Shell has launched its new Shell Recharge app across the nation. While the initial announcement did not reveal much, we now have the full details of how the app makes electric vehicle (EV) charging more seamless, accessible, and reliable for Malaysian EV drivers.

In conjunction with 11.11, Shell Malaysia officially launched the Shell Recharge App, a new platform designed to simplify and enhance the EV charging experience for drivers across the nation. The app allows users to easily locate charging stations, monitor charging sessions, and make secure payments. 

This week, Shell Malaysia launched its first East Coast to West Coast High-Performance Charging (HPC) network in Malaysia. It can deliver up to 180kW fast charging for EV drivers, marking a milestone in the company's HPC network expansion.  

To further enhance the Shell app user experience, Shell Malaysia and BonusLink have unveiled their latest rewards and loyalty programme. There are now three-tier structures - Silver, Gold and Platinum that allow members to multiply their rewards by up to five times.

If you frequently refuel at Shell stations, you’d know of the TNG RFID fuelling system introduced by Shell back in 2022. Well, if you use the system to refuel, do take note that the service has been down since last month for system improvement.

Touch ’n Go (TNG) Group and Shell Malaysia has announced the expansion of the use of new cashless radio-frequency identification (RFID) solutions in Malaysia. Currently available at 88 Shell stations nationwide, both companies say that they are expecting 200 Shell stations to be equipped with TNG RFID for purchasing fuel by the end of 2022.

In an effort to improve its energy efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint in our country, Shell Malaysia has today announced the installation of solar panels on the roofs of its 216 retail stations nationwide. Through a collaboration with Celantech Solar, 22505 solar photo voltaic (PV) panels were installed by Shell, for a total capacity of 10.12 megawatt peak (MWp)!

Reloading your Touch ‘n Go card is making a fuzz especially there are not many tolls having top-up stations when you don’t want to pay the 50 sen extra charges at petrol stations. But fear not, because Shell has announced to waived off the 50 sen top-up fee at their petrol stations.
