Most of you should already know about Android 9.0 Pie and it will be available on quite a number of Android phones this year. Aside from the Google Pixel series, it seems that both Sony Mobile and HTC have officially announced a list of phones that are getting the update via over-the-air (OTA).

The price tag of RM3299 is not an uncommon sight for flagship devices these days even though some Malaysians would shake their head, especially when it comes to Sony smartphones. Why is that?

Well, if we look back at their track record - it's a bit of a rollercoaster ride. One day you have a pretty good smartphone, then suddenly there would be another one that has no idea what it is made for. Released in Malaysia since March 2018, Sony Mobile is continuing the Xperia XZ series with the latest Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact (which we don't have at the moment). Here we have the Liquid Black model and as a flagship model, the Xperia XZ2 features a Snapdragon 845, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 5.7-inch Gorilla Glass 5 display in Full HD resolution, a 19MP primary camera but a 5MP front camera, 3180 mAh battery and many other cool features which you can check out in our hands-on video below!

Today, Sony Mobile is proud to announce that the latest Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact will be coming soon to Malaysia in the month of April. Customers can start to pre-order the Xperia XZ2 on 23 March until 4 April 2018 at RM3299 with a special bundle which includes - a pair of Sony ZX770BN wireless noise cancelling headphones, a hardshell premium backpack, Sony exclusive Touch n Go card (RM100 pre-loaded), a phone case and a screen protector. Before Sony Mobile officially unveils a mysterious third new member later on today, the Sony Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact are now official and boy, they look so different from the traditional rectangular-ish design! After what seems like forever, we may finally see a new phone design from Sony Mobile with the leaked Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact. Coming courtesy of @evleaks and his Venture Beat site, the leaks show a 3D glass back which looks a lot like the HTC U11+ for the XZ2 while the XZ2 Compact is expected to go polycarbonate plastic.
