Sony has officially entered a strategic partnership with TCL Electronics, marking a major shift in the global home entertainment industry. The agreement formalises earlier discussions between the two companies and sets the stage for a joint venture that will handle Sony’s home entertainment business worldwide. Sony has announced the upcoming release of a new mobile image sensor, the LYTIA 901, for smartphones — a 1/1.12-type stacked CMOS sensor achieving approximately 200 effective megapixels. The sensor is slated for mass production, shipping in November 2025.

Watching movies from Sony Pictures on your PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 sounds awesome but how does it work? Well, it's a little bit complicated but from Sony's blog post today, the service won't be in Malaysia anytime soon but here's the breakdown. 

As previously announced, the subscription fees for the Sony PlayStation Plus plans have been increased and take immediate effect from today onwards. The yearly fee is RM235 for the Malaysian market and it was only yesterday that the monthly and quarterly fees were added.
