SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk, currently controls about two-thirds or 62% of the satellites actively orbiting in space. SpaceX is ready to focus on offering internet services through satellites called Starlink and has around 6370 active satellites under it. So, what should you know about it?

Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil today revealed that he had met with Starlink's Global Licensing and Market Activation director Rebecca Hunter at the Malaysian Pavillion at MWC 2024. During the meeting, he proposed for the SpaceX satellite internet service to open up its offices in our country.

Previously, we mentioned how the Starlink satellite service is a temporary fix for long-term internet solutions in Malaysia. Today, Elon Musk’s company just launched 6 new Starlink satellites into space. So, what should you know about it?

SpaceX has signed an authorised reseller agreement with REDtone Digital Sdn Bhd which allows the latter to offer Starlink satellite internet services across Malaysia. In case you’re not familiar, REDtone is an integrated telco and digital infrastructure services provider company.

After the recent development of Starlink, Malaysians can now place orders for the company’s internet satellite service. In case you didn’t know, Starlink is a satellite broadband service under SpaceX.

Previously, we reported on the meeting between Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, SpaceX and Starlink. Following the virtual meeting, Anwar has since announced that the government is buying 40 Starlink internet devices for use in learning institutions in our country.

Following his meeting with Elon Musk, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has revealed that the billionaire has agreed to make significant investments in our country. These include collaborations with the Malaysian government under Tesla, SpaceX and Starlink.

When receiving the Axel Springer Award today, Elon Musk has shared with the public regarding SpaceX's Mars ambition. He stated that the next-generation spacecraft, SpaceX's Starship is gearing up for its first big high-altitude flight test later this week and he hopes that it can send humans to Mars in four to six years.

About two days ago, it was a breathtaking moment for the SpaceX Crew Dragon program launching into space. Not only it was a private space program that is owned by Elon Musk, but two NASA astronauts were also involved and safely landed at the International Space Station. That is certainly a remarkable achievement, but it seems that that the two NASA astronauts were invited to do an adult webcam session too.
