2019 is coming to an end. Not only the year, but a decade is also ending and it’s quite a big deal. Many platforms are announcing the best of the decade including songs, artists, movies, games, and the list goes on. Of course, there is a list of the best tech gadgets of the decade as well. TIME has published a list for the selected 10 best tech gadgets that were created in this decade, and Apple has the most products being crowned.

Yesterday, I was lucky enough to attend a keynote panel discussion hosted by edotco where notable figures such as CEO of Time Broadband Afzal Abdul Rahim, CEO of Robi Axiata Limited Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, Head of BCG Vaishali Rastogi, as well as Chairman of MCMC Encik Al-ishal Ishak were present. They then discuss the state of Malaysia's network infrastructure and whether it is enough to support the upcoming 5G network which will start to roll out sometime next year.

Today, TIME dotCom has announced that customers can now have a private connectivity via AWS Direct Connect. This will offer authorisation and provision for private connections to AWS through its TIME Cloud Interconnect Direct (TCID) service.

Based on an article titled “Malaysia’s need for speed: How regulatory action is unleashing ultrafast internet” in the World Bank report, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) was commended in their efforts to increase the average broadband speeds in Malaysia. Not only that, but they have also managed to reduce the average price by up to 49% for these services. 

Over the past few days, there were quite a few smartphone launches. First, the OPPO Reno was announced for RM1999 in Malaysia (a bit expensive, tbh), then came along the ASUS ZenFone 6 with a rather odd Flipping Camera in Valencia starting from ~RM2328, the OnePlus 7 Pro was also launched in Malaysia from RM2999 (no longer the flagship killer, I suppose) and finally, the HONOR 20 series was revealed in London with an affordable price of RM1699 for us. Sweet. 

Today, U Mobile Sdn Bhd has just signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with TIME dotCom. This is due to U Mobile's 5G initiative and if you have been following the news, the company has already conduct 5G trials with TIME's involvement, this will speed up the high speed and low latency backhaul solution.

Barely a few days after Facebook services went down across the globe, TIME Broadband seems to be experiencing technical difficulties resulting the a total disconnect for all TIME Broadband customers which started around 8PM, 16 April 2019.

Just yesterday at The Legends Circuit (TLC) Malaysia Grand Finals held in conjunction with the Selangor Cyber Games at Paradigm Mall, Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur Hunters (KLH) successfully defended their champion spot against Eternity Esports. This marks their fifth consecutive title and has brought home RM40,000 grand prize.
