The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) has recommended Touch ’n Go (TnG) change the name of its visa card. This is because the word “Touch ’n Go” is synonymous with the toll payment system, hence it would confuse the public who may get the visa card for the purposes of paying for tolls when the card is unable to do so.

Before Christmas, we reported that the Touch 'n Go (TNG) Visa Card is releasing soon and it looks like the company has started to roll out the application. It was first discovered in a Lowyat forum whereby a member could see the Visa Card logo on the TNG eWallet app.

Touch ’n Go Group today announced that it is working together with Yayasan Hijau Malaysia via Touch ’n Go eWallet to launch the Mission GreenPossible: 100 Million Trees by 2025 campaign. Touch ’n Go (TNG) Group and Shell Malaysia has announced the expansion of the use of new cashless radio-frequency identification (RFID) solutions in Malaysia. Currently available at 88 Shell stations nationwide, both companies say that they are expecting 200 Shell stations to be equipped with TNG RFID for purchasing fuel by the end of 2022.

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has today warned against fake text messages from ‘GOV’ that claims to be giving special finance assistance credited into Touch ’n Go eWallet accounts. The commission found that irresponsible parties had manipulated the ‘GOV’ digital identity for fraud purposes and even used the MySejahtera organisation name to deceive the public.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced that all facilities under its helm will start going cashless from 1 October 2022. This is according to circular issued by its secretary-general, Datuk Harjeet Singh dated 21 June 2022.

One of the most popular e-wallet platform in Malaysia, the Touch ‘n Go eWallet app has mysteriously vanished from the Apple App Store. As of the time of writing, the listing for the app can’t be found in the App Store, though those that have downloaded the app in the past can still open and re-download it from their Apple devices.
