Furthermore, its minister, Tan Sri Annuar Musa also revealed yesterday that the brand and supplier for the tablets will be announced next week.

    The Communications and Multimedia Ministry (K-KOMM) together with the Finance Ministry (MOF) and the Higher Education Ministry (KPT) officially launched the PerantiSiswa Keluarga Malaysia programme today at MMU, Cyberjaya. However, application for the programme will only start tomorrow (15 April) via its official online portal here.

    During the event, K-KOMM minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa guaranteed that the devices under the programme will be of high quality and not be ‘cap ayam’ (low quality). He also reiterated that the devices will be distributed starting from mid-June, as we’ve reported previously.

    The Communications and Multimedia Ministry (K-KOMM) has announced that applications for the PerantiSiswa Keluarga Malaysia initiative for B40 students will open this 15 April. Its minister, Tan Sri Annuar Musa revealed more details of the programme today, though he didn’t quite reveal the manufacturer of the PerantiSiswa tablet.

    Speaking of which, Annuar said that the tablets come with warranty and are made by an ‘established brand’ in the market. Furthermore, the tablets will be given based on the concept of free use, whereby students must return the devices to their respective institutions of higher learning once they finished their studies.

    Communications and Multimedia (K-KOMM) minister, Tan Sri Annuar Musa today took to Twitter to tease the upcoming tablets that will be distributed to eligible students under the the PerantiSiswa Keluarga Malaysia programme. Furthermore, Annuar also said that the application for the programme is expected to open this 15 April.

    We have previously reported regarding the PerantiSiswa programme, which is an initiative specifically crafted for tertiary-level education students from the B40 group. It offers free mobile devices and internet access for their studies.

    Communications and Multimedia Minister, Tan Sri Annuar Musa has today announced that applications for the PerantiSiswa Keluarga Malaysia programme will be opened in mid-April. A package specifically crafted for tertiary-level education students from the B40 group, PerantiSiswa offers free mobile devices and internet access for their studies.

    Announced during the tabling of Budget 2022 last October, the initiative would benefit around 400000 Malaysian students from either the public or private institutes of higher learning (IPT). Furthermore, the initiative was introduced to help students attend online learning activities, surf the Internet for research purposes and even send messages to stay connected with their families and friends.
