While Tesla will officially come into Malaysia soon, this time around there’s news about their Supercharger network here. According to a tweet from our Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry one of the requirements for Tesla “includes the installation of at least 50 Super Chargers within 3 years”.

Today, our local minister of International Trade and Industry, Tengku Zafrul just announced that Tesla will indeed be making its way to the Malaysian market. The Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) also announced its approval, and we will be seeing Tesla's presence soon.

Tesla today announced the launch of the Tesla Wireless Charging Platform which is able to charge up to 3 Qi devices simultaneously. Similar in concept to the cancelled Apple AirPower, users can place their devices anywhere on the mat for it to wirelessly charge thanks to FreePower technology.

Tesla has recently announced that a “Holiday Update” is rolling out to its cars, which most notably allows owners to play games from Steam in their Tesla vehicles. According to the company’s official Twitter account, Steam is now available on new Model S and Model X vehicles, though no specific car models were mentioned.

After a long and complicated saga, the world’s richest man, Elon Musk has finally completed the takeover of popular social media platform Twitter. The deal costs USD44 billion or ~RM207 billion and also saw the platform’s top executives leave the company.

The founder of Tesla, Elon Musk, has teased that the automobile company's latest Model S Plaid would be capable of running Cyberpunk 2077 (yes, the video game). He mentioned that the car's system is basically at the level of a PlayStation 5 and there's never been a car that has state of the art computing technology.

It seems that Huawei, in collaboration with Cyrus, has officially unveiled the Cyrus Huawei Smart Selection SF5 EV at the price of around RMB216K (~RM137K). The EV is capable of achieving more than 1000KM+ range on a single charge, which is significantly higher compared to Tesla vehicles according to Huawei.

During the 18th Global Analyst Conference in Shenzhen, it seems that Huawei mentioned that they have invested more than USD1 billion in smart car components and R&D in order to manufacture the Huawei EV in the near future. Not only that, but Huawei claimed that their upcoming EV is able to achieve up to 1000KM range of autonomous driving on a single charge, which is significantly more compared to Tesla.

Due to WhatsApp's privacy issues, Signal has risen to fame after Tesla's CEO Elon Musk subtly promoted the app by tweeting 'Use Signal'. After that, the messaging app has recorded a surge in new users and caused the company to experience verification codes delay. Now, it is found out that the person who owns WhatsApp is also a user of Signal.

Based on a statement by iFengNews, it seems that Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun wants to develop their own car in the near future. While not much is known in regards to the exact date on which the vehicle will be unveiled, it does give us a better idea of what to expect from Xiaomi in the future.
