It wasn't too long ago that we reported that Samsung is already mass producing its latest 512GB eUFS 3.0 storage chip. At this moment, there is another new member and it's not by Samsung, but rather the standard organization USB-IF for announcing USB 4 (not 4.0, just 4) and get this, it's able to reach up to 40Gbps (dual-channel) in transferring speed!

Companies are slowly moving away from including the humble 3.5mm jack on their smartphones. We have a few companies already coming out with devices sans the jack - LeEco, Motorola and the most famous of all, Apple. Now the organization behind the USB standard has come up with a new guideline for a spec called USB Audio Class 3.0, which eliminates the need of having an audio jack in the smartphone altogether.
