vivo first dropped a teaser for its next phone last week but now we're getting the details right from the horse's mouth. The vivo S6 will be announced officially on 31 March 2020, with the launch set to be held on 7:30 pm local time online. This is expected to be a 5G device that's equipped with a Qualcomm chipset.

It's never dull in the smartphone scene, not as long as patents get leaked all the time. This time around, an image showing the patented design of a supposed vivo smartphone was found. The device shows a Penta camera setup at the back and a single front camera within a punch-hole.

Now, we wonder if it'll be related to a new vivo device that has been spotted on GeekBench. Specifically, a benchmark on the site shows a vivo device that uses Android 10 and runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset plus 6GB of RAM.

A few months month, Xiaomi, OPPO and vivo signed an agreement to join forces to develop a new Wireless File Transfer System which is due to be unveiled this year. With that in mind, vivo recently announced that the new system is expected to be unveiled somewhere around February of 2020.
