If you're a casual WhatsApp user, you probably don't know the many security features it has. Some of them are not enabled by default, so it pays to know more about them. That could be why WhatsApp decided to set up a new Security Center.

In recent months, WhatsApp has been adding features that allow users to link their accounts to more devices. Last month, the company introduced a feature called Companion Mode, which is now in beta for Android users. Now, it looks like the feature is coming to iOS too.

To improve the voice and video calls in WhatsApp for Android further, the WhatsApp team has been working on a new feature to let users share their screen during a video call. It's currently rolled out to beta test in the Google Play Store.

The update is finally here. Mark Zuckerberg has just announced that you can now edit your WhatsApp messages if there's a typo or mistake in your sentence. However, you can only do so for up to 15 minutes after. 

Sometimes, we would have prefer to have some conversations in private. For face-to-face conversations, you find somewhere you can chat securely. But what if it's via a text messaging app? Well, WhatsApp considers this a relevant issue and has rolled out Chat Lock.

Previously available in India and Brazil, this is obviously a partnership between Meta and Stripe so Singapore WhatsApp users can pay business using credit cards, debit cards or Singapore’s PayNow.

From time to time, we would get scam messages and calls on our phones. While you could always install the Truecaller app, it doesn't work for WhatsApp which scammers tend to use nowadays. However, that could change in the future.

Today, WhatsApp announced that a few new features are coming soon. According to WhatsApp, the development team will update the polls, forwarded messages and captions to make chats a little more productive and fun.
