Xiaomi Malaysia is holding the Xiaomi 3.3 Mega Sale today, which for one day only, offers Malaysian shoppers and fans discounts of up to 70 per cent off. The discounts are applicable for selected Xiaomi smartphones and AIoT products, including wearables and smart home products.

Qualcomm recently announced that they are working with Honor, OPPO, Motorola, Nothing, vivo and Xiaomi on a satellite based messaging/communication platform called Snapdragon Satellite at MWC 2023. No exact Malaysia release dates about when we’ll be able to send and receive messages via satellite but it could mean the ability to communicate in areas without any telco coverage.

Xiaomi Malaysia today released its latest flagship, the Xiaomi 13 series in our country during an event in Kuala Lumpur. Comprising the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, the main highlights of the series have got to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and the camera collaboration with Leica.

Ahead of the Xiaomi 13 series’ official Malaysian launch next Monday (27 February 2023), the company’s CEO, Lei Jun has a message for fans that might be holding out for the next-gen Xiaomi 13s series. Taking to Weibo, Lei Jun said that there won’t be an “s” version of the smartphone lineup coming out.

Previously, we reported that Xiaomi Malaysia will release the Xiaomi 13 series in our country next Monday (27 February 2023). Well, the launching event may also see the debut of the Xiaomi Watch S2 as the smartwatch was recently spotted on the SIRIM database.

Xiaomi is reportedly set to release the Xiaomi Civi 2 in the global market as the Xiaomi 13 Lite 5G soon. Interestingly, the device has a pill-shaped camera cutout on its screen that’s very similar to the Dynamic Island found on the iPhone 14 Pro series.

It looks like POCO will be releasing the POCO X5 series soon as a European retailer had already listed the devices as “coming soon”. The website may have accidentally published the page ahead of schedule, though thanks to the listing, we now know the X5 series’ specs.

Redmi has released a new offering in the affordable smartphone segment, the Redmi 12C, with prices starting as low as CNY699 or ~RM446. The device packs a 6.71-inch display with an HD resolution, a 20.6:9 screen ratio, up to 500 nits brightness and a 1500:1 contrast ratio.

As we’ve alluded to in our previous article, Redmi is set to release 5 new products at its Redmi K60 series launching event next Tuesday (27 December 2022), one of which will be the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition. Yet another variant of the Note 12 series, Redmi confirmed that the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC.

Previously, we reported that Redmi will be releasing the Redmi K60 series at an event in China next Tuesday (27 December 2022). Now, more details have emerged, as Redmi has confirmed that the event will also see the launch of several AIoT devices, including the Redmi Watch 3, Band 2 and Buds 4 Lite.
