Based on a statement by TigerMobiles.com, Xiaomi has recently filed a patent with details that their upcoming smartphone could come with a front-facing selfie camera which is embedded in the corner. Based on the image shown, the design looks almost similar to that of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S except for the camera placement which is flipped around.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S has been officially launched in Malaysia with a retail price of RM1999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB Internal Memory, and 6GB + 128GB for RM2199. In terms of tech specs, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, 6GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of internal memory, dual 12MP + 12MP rear camera sensor, 5MP front facing selfie camera, 5.99-inch display with a screen resolution of 1080×2160 pixels, and it is running on a 3400mAh non-removable battery. Xiaomi announce that they have launched two new devices into Malaysia, the two device in question is the Mi MIX 2S and the Redmi S2 which is priced at RM1999 and RM679 respectively. Starting off the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S, the device is running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, 6GB of RAM, either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, dual 12MP + 12MP rear camera setup, single 5MP selfie camera, 5.99-inch display with a screen resolution of 2160×1080 pixels, and it is powered by a 3400mAh non-removable battery.

The metal framed and ceramic backed Xiaomi  Mi Mix 2s got officially announced today for 3299 CNY (~RM2037) with 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, 3599 CNY (~RM2223) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version and 3999 CNY (~RM2470) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version (which also comes with a free wireless charger).

Previously, we showed you a leaked render of how the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S could look like and it had a small front camera placed at the top right of the display. However, new images have surfaced online and showed a different story, with the phone having a complete full front display.

After the single major design flaw of the front camera on the concept smartphones that were the Xiaomi Mi Mix and Mi Mix 2, a new leaked poster of the Mi Mix 2s has appeared. In it, it shows a full view edge-to-edge display with a single front camera in the top right corner making it just right for selfies.

Alleged hands-on photos of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s has appeared on Weibo. Not much context can be taken from these photos alone but all we know is, obviously it has an iPhone X-like cutout right on the top bezel. The edges are a bit wider than the iPhone X, which leaves more space for icons in the status bar. Other than that, the rest seems to be the same old trademark bezel-less Mi Mix screen.
