First released all the way back in February this year, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G is the brand's first 5G device. Originally, it came in one configuration with 6GB of RAM and only 64GB of internal storage. However, a recent listing on China's TENAA shows the device with updated specifications of 8GB of RAM, plus 128GB and 256GB of internal storage.

The Mobile World Congress 2019 which was held in Barcelona, Spain saw many releases as well as technological advancements, particularly in 5G. This new network brings many benefits over the current 4G network such as lower latency, higher bandwidth, lower battery consumption and more. Over at MWC 2019, Xiaomi finally showed off their 5G version of the much loved Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G features the Snapdragon 855 bundled with the Snapdragon X50 modem alongside 3500mAh battery capacity. Other than that, the phone is pretty much similar to the original Mi Mix 3. 

With Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 855 unveiled only a few days ago, many OEM’s were gearing to be the first to release a smartphone with the SoC and we now have a winner. The winner is Xiaomi who released the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G and this phone isn’t new to us other than it using the 5G network and Snapdragon 855 chipset.
