In case you missed it, U Mobile has signed a three-year 5G wholesale agreement with Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) at the end of February. At the same time, TM confirmed and exercised its contractual rights to terminate its existing 5G wholesale access agreement with Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB). As you can imagine, this didn't sit well with DNB.

In yet another piece of news relating to MyDigital ID, the Sarawak State Government and the Federal Government officially signed an agreement to integrate SarawakPass with Malaysia’s national MyDigital ID system. Huawei and Maxis signed an agreement today on the provisioning of 5G Networks in Malaysia. It was witnessed by Yang Amat Berhormat Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, Prime Minister of Malaysia and was signed by Michael Yuan, Huawei Chief Executive Officer and Gokhan Ogut, Maxis Chief Executive Officer. Through the agreement Maxis hopes to achieve a robust 5G network with potential speeds reaching 10Gbps.
