As you may know, our personal data isn't all that private these days. It's a given that many tech companies hoard our data, but it's bad when they do it poorly. For instance, it was found that iOS 14 might have some bad data privacy practices.

Based on a report by nikkei, it seems that Apple has recently partnered up with TSMC in order to develop micro OLED displays that will be used with Apple’s upcoming AR glasses. While not much is known in regards to the exact release date, it does give us a better idea on what to expect when it is officially available in the local market.

A while back, it was rumoured that Apple has been working on two foldable iPhones prototypes. Supposedly, it would also have an under-display fingerprint sensor and will launch in 2022. However, the latest rumours suggest a different launch window.

Last week, Apple released the public beta for iOS 14.5 that came with quite a few new features. For instance, it added support for face unlocking with a mask on and the latest gaming console controllers. It was also confirmed that Apple Maps will get a big update.

Based on a statement by 9to5mac, it seems that Hyundai and Kia recently confirmed that they are no longer working with Apple to manufacture the Apple Car. With that being said, it seems that the Apple Car will not be available in the global market until much later.

It's interesting how Apple has been working on a variety of prototypes in the last few years. Although the Apple Car may be on hold, the Apple AR glasses could be available in 2022. There's even a rumour about the company's VR headset, which could feature some crazy specs.

Based on a statement by gizmodo, it seems that the discussion between Hyundai and Kia in regards to developing the Apple Car might have been put on hold. With that in mind, it is very likely that the driverless vehicle might be postponed for quite a while until further notice.

A car is not what you'd expect a company like Apple to be involved in building. But the company is looking to develop an electric car, by investing around RM14 billion in Hyundai. Moreover, the company's first electric car could be fully autonomous.

We previously reported that Apple is teaming up with Hyundai on an Apple Car and invested around ~RM14 billion. With the investment on Hyundai's subsidiary brand, Kia, multiple sources have cited that it would be an "autonomous, electric vehicles designed to operate without a driver and focused on the last mile".
