It may be strange to read this news, but according to industry reporting, ASUS officially communicated with Taiwanese mobile distributors that it will not introduce any new smartphone models in 2026. Local retailers told Digitimes Asia that ASUS handset supply through official channels was drying up and that the company’s smartphone division would effectively operate only through 31 December 2025 before halting new product releases.

We all know that ASUS has only one gaming smartphone series and it's the ROG Phone. However, the latest source has arrived by pointing out that the company could be in preparation for another gaming series with Qualcomm Snapdragon branding. The device was spotted on the TENNA listing with a few images and tech specs.

Our favourite gaming smartphone, ASUS ROG Phone, came out last year around June and it has been getting quite the reputation it deserves. However, we've been waiting for its Android update as Android 10 is already out on several smartphones. Finally, we have gotten a source saying that the device will be getting its Android Pie update soon after a long while.

Some brands have resorted to integrate a mini liquid or graphene cooling system inside the phones, but let's be honest it can only do so much and trust me, I have the ASUS ROG Phone and it still gets on fire (performance is too strong). But someone from Japan thought of an idea and it's actually mindblowing - a water cooler radiator!

The ASUS ROG Phone 2 has appeared on China’s TENAA sporting a massive 5800 mAh battery (that's tablet territory already!) with 30W fast charging (the previous ROG Phone has a 4000 mAh battery). Other tech specs listed include a 6.59-inch AMOLED display which is rumoured to be able to switch between 60Hz and 120Hz and 170.99 x 77.6 x 9.78 mm measurements which does mean a significantly thicker ASUS ROG or Republic of Gamers Phone.

Based on a statement by digitimes.com, ASUS in partnership with Tencent plans to release the follow-up to the ASUS ROG Phone somewhere around Q3 of 2019. The decision to develop a sequel to the aforementioned gaming smartphone is due to the rise in popularity in mobile eSports over the years, thanks to title such as PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and more.

Earlier today, Thunder Match (now rebranded their stores to TMT) has announced the start of their TMT Game On roadshow which is happening at Mid Valley Megamall, from 18 to 24 March 2019. That’s not all, TMT also will be having month-long discounts on smartphones such as the ROG Phone, as well as the Razer Phone 2, along with peripherals, accessories and the likes from brands such as ASUS ROG, Cooler Master, Acer predator, Logitech, ThermalTake and more.

On the 16 and 17 February 2019, ASUS will be hosting the ROG x Free Fire All Stars Brawl Roadshow in Sunway Pyramid from 10AM onwards until closing. The activities that will be held there include the ROG x Free Fire All Stars Brawl tournament with up to 4 Asus ROG Phone to be won, KOL meet and greet as well as pop quiz.
