Based on a statement by finance minister Tengku Zafrul, up to a total of 2.3 million Bantuan Prihatin National (BPN) applicants have recently been approved to receive the financial aid in the near future. Furthermore, the minister also added that they have already distributed RM620 million to 830000 eligible individuals since 15 May 2020.

The Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) has been a great help to those who need financial support during the MCO period. However, all good things must come to an end. As recently announced on their official Facebook page, the Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia have announced that the BPN's last day of registration is on 30 April 2020 (that's tomorrow).

The Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) was announced earlier this month and it served as a way for the government to ease the financial burden of Malaysians during the movement control order (MCO). Today, Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz announced that the second phase for Bantuan Prihatin funds will be given out starting from 4 May 2020.

Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN) has recently posted on their Facebook page, stating that you should always check the address of any email relating to the Bantuan Prihatin National (BPN). With that said, the LHDN will only send emails via the email address [email protected], or via the official number 62000 or 63833.
