Things have really been stirring up about the MDR (Merchant Discount Rate) for DuitNow QR Payments. Maybank has joined the MDR “until further notice” group with Public Bank while CIMB will extend the MDR waiver on DuitNow QR Payments until the end of the year. PayNet or Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd have also announced an official statement clarifying more details.

Touch 'n Go eWallet just made another milestone. This time, the eWallet platform by TNG Digital Sdn Bhd has been expanded to Mainland China. The cross-border payment is made possible in a collaboration with Alipay+ which is operated by Ant Group.

The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) has revealed that traders are now more welcoming of e-wallets and cashless transactions throughout the country. Its deputy minister, Datuk Rosol Wahid in a statement yesterday shared that a total of 3919 new traders are actively using these cashless transactions nationwide as payment methods.

Just yesterday, the Touch ‘n Go Group just announced that all motorists in Penang can now use Touch ‘n Go card for parking at the Gurney Paragon Mall. This effectively makes Gurney Paragon be the first mall in the state to introduce and use Touch ‘n Go PayDirect, in which users can add their Touch ‘n Go card to their Touch ‘n Go eWallet to activate the PayDirect feature.

In case you missed it, Touch 'n Go eWallet just announced that they have partnered with Smart Selangor Parking and Flexi Parking which means you can do cashless payment for parking now. Called as the Street Parking Payment, this feature is now available in Petaling Jaya and Shah Alam.
