Postpaid plans are usually more convenient because you just pay a monthly fee that could be rather reasonable and you get all the features offered by the plan you sign up to. On the other hand, signing up to a postpaid plan usually ties you down to a 2-year contract that you can switch out of easily. Celcom is aware of this and has taken the first step with the recent launching of its new MEGA postpaid plan.

Earlier today, Celcom announced the new MEGA postpaid plan that aims to deliver a flexible postpaid package to customers. With the new plan, you can choose to have either unlimited data cap or unparalleled internet speeds - two areas that are commonly demanded when it comes to mobile internet.

The telco companies in Malaysia have been hard at work testing 5G technology, which is expected to take 2020 by storm. In fact, the latest news is of Celcom's and Maxis' success in a trial of the 5G Multi Operator Core Network (MOCN), a first for Southeast Asia. During the trial, results showed peak speeds of more than 1.1Gbps.

Last December, Celcom have collaborated with Langkawi’s Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and Langkawi Municipal Council (MPLBP) deploying multiple 360? UHD 4K CCTVs at Pantai Cenang in Langkawi. Today, the company have rolled out another 5G Digital Boundary Control with the same camera system to increase border security at Langkawi Port.

More promos have been announced by Celcom, with the latest one offering a free Huawei Mate 30 or Mate 30 Pro for just RM1268. Customers will be able to get this deal when they sign up for the Celcom Platinum Plus postpaid plan.

In this short announcement, our local blue Telco, Celcom has just officially announced that the Apple Watch 5 series will soon be available in their BlueCube stores. However, if you're planning to get one from them, you will have to wait a while as the pre-order will start on the 6th of December.
