Based on a statement by macrumors.com, it seems that a malware made specifically for the Apple M1 chip have been spotted. While it seems that the malware is in its early stages, it does show that Apple chips, just like chips from other manufacturers, are not immune to malware attacks.

While there is no news on the exact release date of the chips, our source did mention that it will most likely be used for the Azure cloud servers, as well as their Surface laptops.
