After weeks of what amounted to a lockdown for industries and businesses, companies like Proton are finally able to reopen again with the announcement of the conditional movement control order (CMCO) near the end of April 2020. In compliance with the CMCO that will extend to 9 June 2020, Proton has announced that it has come up with new operating procedures for its offices.

In the wee hours of this Sunday morning, it was announced that Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin would be making another announcement. As many have predicted, he has declared an extension to the conditional movement control order (CMCO) to be extended to 9 June 2020.

With the on-going Conditional Movement Control Order taking place, Malaysians who are travelling or going back out to their offices are required to have the Gerak Malaysia app on their smartphones for passage. That said, we got a report by the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) about the app which oversaw the app being downloaded 1.3 million times.
