    Google to disable backup & sync on Google Photos temporarily due to COVID-19

    Google has officially announced on their support page stating that the Google Photos automatic backup & sync feature on messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Messages, and more have been disabled temporarily in order to reduce bandwidth usage. While there is no news on when we can expect Google to re-enable the feature, it will most likely be available again as soon as the COVID-19 outbreak slows down.

    2.3 million BPN applicants have been recently approved!

    Based on a statement by finance minister Tengku Zafrul, up to a total of 2.3 million Bantuan Prihatin National (BPN) applicants have recently been approved to receive the financial aid in the near future. Furthermore, the minister also added that they have already distributed RM620 million to 830000 eligible individuals since 15 May 2020.

    Based on a statement by malaymail.com, it seems that Telekom Malaysia will reopen their TMpoint outlets located at green zones on 4, 6, and 8 May 2020. As for the operational hours, the outlets will be accepting customers from 10AM until 4PM on the aforementioned dates.

While not much is known in regards to the exact release date of the aforementioned feature, we do know that it will most likely be more secured compared to their competitors.

    It seems that TikTok has recently donated £5 million to the Royal College of Nursing Foundation, in order to help frontliners in their battle against the COVID-19 outbreak. Based on bbc.com, it seems that the amount donated by TikTok is considered one of the largest contributions received from a social media company to date.

    Based on a statement by Bloomberg, it seems that the Sony Playstation 5 (PS5) will be in limited production in the first year of its launch. Compared to the previous year where Sony managed to manufacture up to 7.5 million PS4, Sony will end up manufacturing up to only 6 million units.

    Based on a statement by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, it seems that salons, barbers, and eyeglass shops will not be allowed to operate until the end of the MCO. This response was based on feedback from the public who were concerned that the number of COVID-19 cases might increase if these businesses were given leeway to operate.
