Last week a bug in Crowdstrike's software update disrupted 8.5 million Windows computers globally. PC shows a BSOD screen and cannot be used at all. As a result, aviation, banking, banking, transport and broadcasting services were disrupted. So, what should you know about it?

Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo has assured that there was no data leakage during the global IT outage on 19 July despite government agencies being affected. He further revealed that in total, 14 Malaysian entities were affected by the outage, including 5 government agencies.

Previously, we shared how the Microsoft Windows ‘Crowdstrike’ is causing global system outages worldwide, including at major airports and airlines such as KLIA and AirAsia. Well, the outage also affected our rail system, as KTMB has announced service disruptions too.

In case you didn't know, Microsoft is experiencing a worldwide system outage at the moment. It's affecting and disrupting numerous IT services, airports, banks and businesses globally. This also includes KLIA, KLIA 2 and KTMB (Malayan Railway Limited).
