Now that we've been put back into the CMCO phase, it makes sense that events will all have to go online. This is especially true for events that expect a high number of attendees. Having said that, we're quite sure that the Minggu Saham Digital event was set to go online from some time ago.

What was once Geoff Keighley's pet project for Game Developers Conference (GDC), the Summer Game Fest has changed this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Developers and publishers are switching to online events this year but not having panels can be boring for some people. Perhaps Keighley is expecting that, which is why the Summer Game Fest will be hosting some of these digital events.

If you're an avid gamer, you probably know that E3 2020 was cancelled like many other large events this year. Although a digital event was planned, the idea was eventually scrapped. To make up for it, game developers and publishers have all begun to plan for their own digital events, with Ubisoft being the next to announce a digital event.

Many events have been cancelled in recent weeks so the writing was on the wall even for E3 2020. Sure enough, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) confirmed yesterday that the annual event in Los Angeles would be cancelled. Of course, some companies have things ready for presentation and will be doing them online.
