Gmail users worldwide have been reporting a bug at the top of their emails in the form of a grey banner with an exclamation in a hexagon for the past two days. The bug, which asks users whether they want to ‘continue receiving messages from this sender’ are reportedly appearing too frequently (even with contacts and frequent senders) to the annoyance of users.

Facebook has made a few questionable decisions over the years, both internally in terms of management as well as relating to the platform’s algorithm and features. Well, it seems that Meta’s popular social media platform is at it again, this time by reportedly locking out users who doesn’t activate Facebook Protect out of their Facebook accounts.
Worse, some users are even saying that they weren’t made aware of the necessity of turning on Facebook Protect. In fact, the only notice they got was from a spam-like email from Facebook titled “Your account requires advanced security from Facebook Protect”.

Based on an article by bleepingcomputer.com, it seems that more than 500000 zoom accounts containing several private information including email address and password was sold on the dark web not too long ago. The source mentioned that the accounts sold were priced at USD0.002(~RM0.0087) each, for a grand total of around USD1000(~RM4350) for the whole bulk.

This June, Google will be rolling out Gmail confidential mode to all users starting on the 25th of June. Technically, it works just like a self-destructing email would - the email will come with an expiration date whereby the email will be wiped out then. Senders may also revoke the email. As for the receiver, they are not able to forward, copy or download the email. This mode is perfect for emailing out sensitive data.
