When it comes to local gaming events, many of you probably know about LEVEL UP KL. Well, this year the event is going to be split into two parts and will be held completely online. The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has announced that it will be collaborating with eGG Network for the events.

With the on-going Conditional Movement Control Order, it seems that some businesses are coming back slowly with caution. Among the companies, Razer took a bold move in announcing their upcoming Razer Southeast Asian Invitational 2020. The event is scheduled to kick off on 22 June, followed by the grand finals on 3-5 July 2020. 

Tunku Abdul Rahman University College recently posted on Facebook, stating that they are looking for operators to set up an eSports arena inside their Cyber Center which is located at KL Main Campus. Those that are interested can send in their proposal before 2 March 2020.

The PMCO 2019 Fall Split Global Finals took place at PWTC, Kuala Lumpur from 29 November until 2 December 2019 and it managed to rack up around 532 million total views and up to 57 hours in total watch time. During the tournament, the Indonesian team called Bigetron RA managed to emerge as the champions and bagged the grand prize of 180000USD.

Battle Arena Elites recently emerged victorious during the Asia Pacific Predator League 2020 which was held at Battle Arena, Jaya Shopping Centre on 8 December 2019 with an amazing 100-point lead over the first runner-up. The champions, well as the first runner-up, brought home RM10000 and RM5000 in cash prize and Predator accessories respectively.

It was only a matter of time before esports made it big, with it being a medal sport in the SEA Games 2019. Blizzard has officially announced on their blog post stating that their Team-based Multiplayer Shooter, Overwatch will be Free-To-Play starting 27 November until 5 December 2019 (Malaysian time). But that’s not all, Blizzard also added that the aforementioned game, as well as other games,  will be on sale with up to 60% discount on.

The Mobile Legends World Championship (M1) is arguably one of the largest MLBB esports tournament to be held in Malaysia, and it starts from 15 November until 17 November 2019. For those who were unable to attend, they can also catch the aforementioned tournament via livestream on Youtube, which is the rival of Facebook.

Earlier today, Lenovo has officially unveiled the Lenovo Legion Battlecruiser gaming truck at MyTOWN Cheras. Inside the truck, it is equipped with various gaming products from Lenovo such as the Legion Y545 as well as the Y7000 gaming laptops in which the public could test them out for themselves.
