Google Veo 3 and Flow are Google’s latest generative AI platforms that offer text-to-video prompting. While Veo 3 is the engine, Flow is the platform where the videos are generated and put together. Together they allow users to rapidly create various types of videos using just text prompts.

Google Cloud recently launched Gemini CLI, a new open-source AI command-line interface tool aimed at developers who prefer working inside their terminal. Available now in preview, Gemini CLI is free to use with a personal Google account and offers access to Gemini 2.5 Pro with up to 1,000 model requests per day.

The Google NotebookLM app is now available for download on Android and iOS devices after being accessible only via a web browser for a long time. With this app, users can now more easily access the localized LLM or AI Chat that is NotebookLM. Google has officially rolled out video generation features to its Gemini platform thanks to the Veo 2 model, so you can create AI-generated videos directly from text prompts. This update is now live for users subscribed to Gemini Advanced and Google One AI Premium (which starts from RM97.99), including those in Malaysia. 

At the recent Google Cloud Next 25, Google Cloud expanded its Vertex AI platform with new generative media capabilities. The update includes the addition of Lyria, a text-to-music model, joining existing video, image, and speech generation tools. This expansion aims to provide enterprises with a comprehensive suite of generative media features.

After the previous ‘AI at Work’ initiative back in December 2024, Malaysia’s Ministry of Digital and Google Malaysia announced their 2nd phase for Malaysia’s public officers. Aimed at boosting overall productivity by helping to summarize documents and streamline workflows, the 2nd phase of the initiative will see the implementation of Google Workspaces with Gemini for public officers.
