Popular dating app Tinder as well as other similar apps from its parent company Match Group may be removed from the Google Play Store following the latest development on the two parties’ legal battle. It all started earlier this year when Match Group sued Google for requiring all Android developers to process ‘digital goods services’ payments through the Play Store billing system.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has recently launched RakanMET, a user-friendly app that allows you to report any extreme weather phenomenons in your area to the department. Furthermore, the app is community-service oriented and functions through smart partnership between MetMalaysia and the public.
Taking to its official Twitter page, MetMalaysia further elaborated that the RakanMET app serves as a two-way communication medium between the public and MetMalaysia. With it, the department can obtain quick information on verified and accurate weather conditions throughout the country.

Google has announced that it will allow developers the option to offer third-party payment options for apps that is available on the Google Play Store. The pilot programme for the move will start in South Korea with the music streaming app Spotify.
Shared via an Android Developers blogpost yesterday, Google announced that it will allow Android users to select payment systems other than its own soon. Furthermore, it will only start with Spotify and other trusted partners first due to security concerns.
