Huawei has been on a roll recently, hitting all the right notes, resulting in a net profit of 36.9 billion CNY. While there were profits from the carrier and enterprise business groups, what should be noted was a 73% rise year on year from the consumer business group (they're the ones making the Huawei Mate 8, Huawei Nexus 6P, honor 7 Enhanced, honor 7, honor 5X, Huawei MateBook and just announced Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus).

The honor World Carnival is back for the 3rd time this year and will begin from 4 April 2016 till 8 April 2016 from 10.08am. The rush buy in particular will include the chance to buy an honor Band Z1 smartwatch, honor 4C and more for as low as RM1, with 10 units for each model. VMALL.my will also be partnering with Lazada, KFit, Red Box and VuClip to give out cash and discount vouchers up to RM120.

The final day on 8 April will also offer an RM50 discount voucher on VMALL.my for a free selfie stick with every honor 5X or the honor 7 with the honor band Z1 and a selfie stick for only RM1529. honor accessories will be available up to 88% off for that day as well.

honor Malaysia are stirring up the smartphone market again by bringing in the honor 5X which was officially announced for Malaysia today. Looking much like a larger 5.5-inch display honor 7 without the customizable Smart Key and infra-red blaster, the honor 5x looks more premium with a brushed metal back. Coming along for the ride is the honor 7 Enhanced Edition which features bigger 32GB storage. The honor 7 Enhanced Edition also looks more premium with shiny metallic front bezels in gold. No pricing details or release dates for the two smartphones yet but the honor Band Z1 smartwatch was also launched as well for RM259.

Flagship smartphones are generally faster, have more features and usually cost a lot more than what you’d normally pay for a smartphone. However, things are changing and smartphone manufacturers are now coming out with smartphones that not only offer flagship features but do so at more affordable price points. At just RM1399 the honor 7 is honor’s flagship featured smartphone coming with a metal build, fingerprint sensor and 20MP rear camera. Does it equal or better more expensive flagship smartphones? The honor 5x and honor 7 Enhanced Edition (along with the honor Band Z1) are coming very soon next week on 26 January in Malaysia so there's much anticipation about it.  But how different is it between the honor 7 and the Enhanced version? We decided to do some comparisons, and threw in the honor 5x as well because it's more fun that way. Read below to see how all the three devices fare against each other!

Apart from the Huawei Mate 8 and other CES 2016 announcements, Huawei also revealed that they managed to ship 108 million smartphones for 2015, gaining the #3 position in the global smartphone market and the top smartphone position in China. Revenues were more than $20 billion for 2015, almost a 70 percent increase over 2014.

Huawei attributes this success to continuous collaborations made with other top brands such as Google (resulting in the Huawei Nexus 6P), Swarovski (resulting in new Huawei Watch designs)  and Harmon Kardon (resulting in the MediaPad M2 tablets). Here in Malaysia, Huawei not only rolled out the Nexus 6P, Mate S and Honor 7 but also started off their Smart City solution. According to Huawei, 2016 will involve more collaborations, building upon the momentum of their achievements in 2015.

With Christmas just around the corner, Honor ended their year-end sale on VMALL.MY with a bang. Over 150000 fans and customers participated in Honor’s festive season celebration by purchasing attractive discounts, deals and gifts. 

The highest sale during the three day period went to Honor 7 with over 4000 units sold, Honor 7 is also the first model to achieve over 100000 unit sales in Malysia, and the third to join Honor 4C and 4X in the exclusive 100K club. Besides that, fans and customers who purchased the Honor 7 were also entitled to a 6-month one-to-one replacement guarantee and a 6-month cracked LCD replacement insurance policy.

Huawei recently revealed that their honor team in france have been doing very well in the French market particularly for their Thanksgiving sales. The star of the show was the honor 7 which was ranked first in leading online stores such as Amazon France and Rue de commerce with a total sales for the French market surpassing 10000 units as of 27 November 2015. The honor France team attributed this due to various activities such as "Your smartphone story" and collaborations with Deezer and others.
