This year has been quite a ride for Huawei, not only have they released a few successful sold-out smartphones from three different lineups, but YouGov BrandIndex, an authoritative measure of brand perception has placed Huawei as one of the top 10 of Malaysia's 2017 Top 10 Brand Advocacy Ranking, which got a score of 68.2 points. Along with Apple, both are the only two smartphone brands that made it to the top 10.

Today, Huawei Consumer Business Group has released its Q2 financial results of 2017. According to the report, the sales revenue for the first six months of 2017 increased by 36.2% year-on-year to CNY105.4 billion. Smartphone shipments also rose to 73.01 million, a year-on-year increase of 20.6%.

As we enter the second quarter of the year, Huawei Consumer Business Group has released their Q1 2017 Business Performace report. According to IDC, they have managed to shipped an astounding 34.55 million smartphones. As reported in the Huawei Global Connectivity Index (GCI) 2017, the fourth annual study shows in the 50 countries that were analyzed, Malaysia climbed five positions in the ranks due to the government’s aggressive investment to improve its international bandwidth, 4G coverage and Cloud over the past three years.

During the Global Analyst Summit 2017 that was held in Shenzhen, China, Huawei presented their carrier services business performance for 2016 and reported to have a revenue of USD13.32 billion. Because of Huawei’s goal to address carriers’ business problems, this has led to an increased growtH in improving carriers’  network value, operation efficiency, and digital transformation.
