    Unifi has announced that in conjunction with the recently announced #khabarbaik movement, they have introduced the Unifi mobile plan with price starting from as low as RM19 a month called ‘Adik’ which provides with a total of 2GB of internet data, 5 minutes of talk time as well as being able to send up to 25 SMS.

Do take the word “uncapped” with a grain of salt and UniFi did not mention any bandwidth limitations during the promo.

    In conjunction with the Malaysia Day Celebrations which is happening on the 16 September 2018, Celcom will be offering residents in Sabah their Celcom Home Fibre and Celcom Business Fibre with up to 50% lower price for speeds up to 100Mbps. All existing Celcom Home Fibre 120, Celcom Home Fibre 150, and Celcom Home Fibre 180 will gradually upgrade towards the 100Mbps by the end of September 2018 at no extra cost.

    Based on a report from Lowyat.net, there seems to be a Streamyx promo circulating around offering 8Mbps for RM100 a month and 4Mbps for RM90 a month. Not only that, the promo also offers unifi TV set top box as well as a wireless router and a DECT phone included in the packages mentioned. However, the promo is only available to newly registered customers only and not available to existing Streamyx customers.

    You can pre-order the unifi Basic Plan which offers 30Mbps for RM79 a month with a 60GB data cap. However, customers are required to present a payslip to prove that their household is currently earning less than RM4500 a month or BRIM acceptance letter in order to sign up for the unifi Basic Plan. Not only that, they have to be within unifi covered areas and be at least 18 and above.

    UniFi has started to offer a no contract UniFi Wireless Broadband plan in Malaysia priced at RM79 (excluding GST) for 60GB of data very recently, giving you the freedom to terminate the plan at any moment without any consequences. The plan also allows the customer to share the bandwidth with up to 64 devices simultaneously.

    MCMC 2016 Network Performance Results: Maxis has fastest download speeds while DiGi offers lowest lag

    The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) recently measured the network performance and compliance to the Mandatory Standard for Quality of Service (QoS) of local broadband providers from January to November 2016. The report revealed that Maxis offers the fastest download speed throughout Malaysia while DiGi offers the least amount of lag.

    Maxis recorded the fastest average download speeds in 5 out of 6 regions, though, in the central region(which covers Klang Valley and Negeri Sembilan), it was Celcom that has the fastest download speed. DiGi offers the quickest response time(Low average network latency), which basically meant "less lag" which is important in online gaming, streaming and teleconferencing.
