The Meta-owned messaging platform, WhatsApp has now gotten a new feature that is similar to FaceTime where users can share a link to start a call with a single tap. Moreover, the messaging platform will also soon get secure encrypted video calling for up to 32 people.

Despite a few notable bugs at launch, it looks like iOS 16 is a hit with iPhone users as more users are adopting the new OS compared to iOS 15 last year. This is according to data from analytics company Mixpanel, whereby some 9 days after the release of iOS 16, it has already been installed in 23.26 per cent of iPhones.

If you're still using your iPhone 5 series, perhaps it's time to upgrade your phone to a new one, especially if you rely on WhatsApp. According to WABetaInfo.com, the WhatsApp team will be dropping support for iOS 10 and iOS 11 in the next few months.

For large screens, it makes sense to take full advantage of the space available. However, picture-in-picture mode isn't always available. That's the case for the YouTube TV app on Apple devices, but it looks like YouTube has finally managed to add the feature to iOS.

WhatsApp is bringing its first new feature in 2022. The messaging platform will now allow iOS users to view the profile pictures in the notifications from top-screen banners and the Notification Center when they receive a text.

When it comes to software, there's always going to be bugs when a new version is out. That's no different for iOS, which is now on version 15 for iPhones. Fortunately, Apple is quick with updates and has released iOS 15.1.1.

It's been two weeks since iOS 15 got released globally. However, it was reported that not many iPhone users have adopted the new operating system when compared to iOS 14. In fact, it is lower and slower than last year's figures.

Today, Apple's latest iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 are now available to download and install. As usual, if you own an iPhone or iPad that are eligible for the upgrade, you may head over to the Settings > General > Software Update to get started. 

Other than several new devices announced at the last Apple event, the latest operating system updates including iOS 15, iPadOS 15, and watchOS 8 had made their appearances as well. They are also going to be the earliest "products" to be released to the public. At 1 am on 21 September, users of Apple devices in Malaysia will get to enjoy the latest build of those mentioned operating systems.
