The maximum charging power found on current commercial smartphones is 120W. Although it was impressive back in the day, it has become a mainstream feature, especially for Xiaomi devices. Now, it would be nice to see something that can spice up the smartphone charging game. According to the latest information from insiders, 2022 will be the year when we see devices with 200W fast charging, and they specifically mentioned that there should be at least two such devices.

It looks like there will be another smartphone sub-brand becoming independent soon. According to the latest report, iQOO will no longer be attached to vivo and become a standalone brand in the first half of 2022.

iQOO might have finally decided to expand its market in Malaysia. It has been spotted that the brand has set up an official Facebook page recently. Not only that, but the page has also included the words "coming soon" on its cover image.

When a new Qualcomm chipset launches, you can bet that there will be smartphones powered by it. For the company's latest 5G chipset, Honor and realme are right in the mix with new devices. Now, you can expect at least two devices with the Snapdragon 778G.
According to XDA Developers, the Honor 50 series will feature the Snapdragon 778G. The company hasn't confirmed which models will feature the chipset, but expect there to be at least one variant with it. realme India CEO, Madhav Sheth, also confirms that the company will be using the new 6nm 5G chipset. In this case, the device is believed to be the realme Quicksilver.

Despite the competitiveness in the smartphone industry, there are actually some brands who choose to skip Malaysia as a potential market. So in celebration of Merdeka, these are the smartphone series that never came to Malaysia (lol). Vivo’s sub-brand, iQOO has officially been announced in China and it comes equipped with the top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and 4 different memory configuration with 4 different price point, with the first being the 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM priced at RMB2998(~RM1821), 8GB + 128GB at RMB3298(~RM2004), 8GB + 256GB at RMB3598(~RM2186) and lastly, 12GB + 256GB at RMB4298(~RM2611).
