    Ministry of Finance: Malaysia has no intention of recognising cryptocurrency as legal tender

    It looks like Malaysia won’t be recognising cryptocurrency as legal tender anytime soon as despite the urging to do so by the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia (K-KOMM). Previously, K-KOMM deputy minister called crypto ‘the future of finance’ and urged for the relevant authorities to held discussions in order to legalise it.

    However, the proposal was unceremoniously turned down by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) confirmed that the federal government has no intention of recognising crypto as legal tender. This was asserted by the ministry’s first deputy minister, Shahar Abdullah in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday.

    It seems that next-gen of flagship mobile chipsets will be sacrificing power efficiency in favour of performance boost. This is according to a new leak that claimed ARM’s upcoming Cortex-X3 cores to be more power hungry than its predecessor.

  • Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has revealed that 34.4% of the adult population in Malaysia has yet to get the Covid-19 vaccine booster dose. That amounts to approximately 7.5 million people in our country.

    Furthermore, out of the number, Khairy said that 2.1 million are recipients of the Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine and another 835000 are senior citizens. He then urged the two categories above to take the booster dose by 1 April 2022 or risk losing their ‘fully vaccinated’ status in MySejahtera.
