We all know by now that patents don't necessarily result in finished products. However, it's still cool to see what brands and companies are cooking up in the background. Recently, a new patent filing by Xiaomi was approved by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and it contains designs for a smartphone with a pop-up system with multiple cameras.

It's never dull in the smartphone scene, not as long as patents get leaked all the time. This time around, an image showing the patented design of a supposed vivo smartphone was found. The device shows a Penta camera setup at the back and a single front camera within a punch-hole.

Recently, a bunch of patent images appeared on the China National Intellectual Property Administration which hints that Xiaomi could be developing their very own foldable display smartphone very soon. Unfortunately, the patent did not include any details such as the exact dimensions, tech specs, and features that will be included in the aforementioned foldable smartphone.

It seems like Xiaomi is trying to catch up with the footsteps by making the first foldable smartphone of its own brand. There is a rumour that the China smartphone manufacturer is planning to come up with a foldable smartphone that houses five camera sensors. The patent of the device was published on 8 November and people have already started getting their hopes up.
