You have Samsung's QLED, LG's QNED, and there's also the OLED TV, so it can get pretty confusing for the average consumer.

Starting from 3 to 24 May 2023, Samsung Malaysia will reward all customers with an exclusive early-order promotion where they can enjoy a free TV upgrade. This includes selected TV ranges from the Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED and QLED with savings up to RM4500.

Samsung Malaysia previously revealed that we’d know more about their 2023 QLED TV lineup today, but it turns out that it’s just a pre-register for an Early-order or pre-order purchase. Thankfully, this isn’t all that it is as it also comes with a free RM500 E-Voucher and FREE TV upgrade once you’ve registered said interest.

Earlier, OPPO was rumoured to launch their very first TV around October this year and it will come in two sizes. As we're stepping into the said month, the brand has finally shared the first teaser of the TV today. The teaser was shot in 8K RAW but it was mastered to 4K 120 fps as the TV will only feature 4K panel instead of an 8K one.

As reported earlier, Samsung will not produce LCD anymore after 2020. The company will cease the production of LCD and focus on other display technologies. However, it looks like the Korean tech giant is not going to stop providing LCD products, as they are planning to buy display panels from LG Display. 

Nowadays, the demand for a higher screen resolution and a better quality display among consumers has been increasing. It is because the manufacturers of screen panels are introducing newer technologies like OLED (Organic light-emitting diode) and QLED (Quantum dot display). When it comes to screen manufacturers, Samsung will definitely come to mind as the company has been a pioneer of new screen technology. Now, it has been announced that Samsung will cease the production of LCD in the near future.
