If you recall, Qualcomm announced that the next-gen Snapdragon will have a new name. While there's no official word yet, it's very likely to be called Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. On that note, the chipset may have gone through a benchmark test on AnTuTu with over 1 million points.

If you came across some rumours of the new Qualcomm Snapdragon name, it turns out to be true! Well, kind of because in the latest news from Qualcomm's newsroom, the company has officially separated the Qualcomm and Snapdragon brands.

Today, Qualcomm has announced four upcoming new Snapdragon 5G and 4G mobile platforms that are coming soon. According to the announcement, these new Snapdragon chipsets are expected to launch commercially in Q4 2021 so expect to see them in various Android phones.
