Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil today announced that a total of 247 Sarawak Multimedia Authority Rural Telecommunication (SMART) towers have successfully been activated. The number is as of 15 May, with all the towers using the Multi-Operator Core Network (MOCN) technology.

Four highways operated by the Amanah Lebuhraya Rakyat Berhad (ALR) will not experience toll rate increases until their respective concession periods end, reports The Star.
