According to a Chinese tipster from Weibo, the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 2000 will be based on TSMC's 4nm process, which might give it a chance to rival other powerful contenders.

Earlier, we have seen a rumour saying that the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ will power 2022 Android flagships. However, as TSMC is reported to start producing the chipset in Q3 2021, some might expect to see devices with the Snapdragon 888's successor by the end of 2021. Today, Redmi's product director Wang Teng has clarified that there will be no smartphones with the 4nm chip coming in H2 2021.
