Apple’s annual Swift Student Challenge continues to highlight young developers from around the world, and the 2026 edition is no different. This year, 350 winners from 37 countries were recognised for their creativity and technical skill in building Swift-based app playgrounds. Among them, two Malaysian students stood out for projects focused on artificial intelligence education and local accessibility.

In every WWDC, Apple would host a Swift Student Challenge and one of the winners happens to be a 16-year-old Malaysian teenager. Nur Alia Jannah is a self-taught coder and this was her third time joining in the challenge.

Hoping to see a new Mac PC, Mac mini or MacBook at the upcoming WWDC 2024? Well, you might be disappointed. Recently, Apple confirmed the keynotes and sessions it would host during the conference next week. However, there was no mention of hardware thus far.

It's that time of the year again for Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which the company will host an online event starting from the 6th until the 10th of June 2022. Besides showcasing what's new in the upcoming iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS, Apple is also hosting the Swift Student Challenge for everyone from around the world. 

Back in March, Apple announced that the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2020 would be held in June 2020. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the event will be held online so that people could watch from the safety of their homes. It has now been confirmed that the event will be held on 22 June 2020 via the Apple Developer app and the Apple Developer website.
