When it comes to depth sensors used by mobile device's, the LiDAR sensor used by Apple is probably considered the best. It's not all iPhones that get it though, with only the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max from last year with it. However, it seems all the iPhone 13 models may have it.

Last month, it was rumoured that Samsung would be looking to drop the ToF (Time of Flight) sensor for the Galaxy S21 series smartphones. Allegedly, the company felt that its ToF sensor isn't useful or powerful enough, compared to those from other manufacturers. However, it seems that the company already has a new type of ToF sensor for the Galaxy S21 series.
