Next month, the world's most popular sports tournament will return, but Malaysians had to wait a very long time to see which local platform would be the official broadcaster. The air is cleared now, as Astro Malaysia officially confirmed that it will no longer be the primary broadcaster for the FIFA World Cup 2026. The move ends Astro’s uninterrupted 20-year run as the tournament’s home in Malaysia.

Unifi TV recently launched a revamped streaming platform and app, where they also provide 30 days of free access to 15 streaming services such as Disney+ Hotstar, HBO Max, Viu, TVB Jade, SPOTV and beIN SPORTS.

Today, Unifi TV announced it will be the official broadcaster for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris 2024. With this, all the sports will be accessible to all Malaysians wherever they are. The free viewing will run from 24 July to 12 August 2024 through its Unifi TV app.

At the end of March, Disney+ Hotstar announced a new set of plans and this has forced Astro and Unifi TV to reevaluate their packages. Unifi said that we will have to wait until 8 April to know what will happen and here's the latest update. 

In conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya festival season, unifi will be offering all of its unifi TV channels for free viewing. The free viewing will only be for a limited time, starting this week (the 7th) until the 13th of April 2024. 

Today, unifi is excited to announce a new Unifi TV partnership with Netflix. This partnership will provide Malaysians access to Netflix on Unifi TV starting from 23 June 2023. 

Starting July until 12th October 2022, all new and existing unifi TV Pack subscribers such as the Ultimate Pack, Varnam Plus Pack, Aneka Plus Pack and Ruby Plus Pack. They can enjoy 90-day access to Lionsgate Play for free when they activate it through the promotion page here.

If you're looking to get a new unifi line as well as Disney+ Hotstar, perhaps now is an excellent time for you. Recently, unifi silently updated a new promotion for the unifi TV Ultimate Pack. Besides the unifi 100Mbps customers, the unifi TV Ultimate Pack customers can also get Disney+ Hotstar free of charge.

Telekom Malaysia (TM) announced today that unifi TV will be adding 5 new channels and 4 new streaming apps next month. The streaming apps include Disney+ Hotstar, MySing, BeIN SPORTS CONNECT and SPOTV NOW.

As for the new 5 channels, they are beIN SPORTS 1, beIN SPORTS 3, CCTV-4, CGTN as well asunifi's very own new channel, DEGUP. With these additions, unifi TV will have a total of 74 premium channels and 15 streaming apps on its platform.

In case you didn't know, unifi TV users are currently experiencing service disruption across the nation. Telekom Malaysia has just published a statement about the issue and said that the service should be back in working condition later this evening.
